We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on Python development experience to build, enhance, and maintain complex, enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of technical deliverables in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles, clean coding practices, and software engineering best practices.
- Perform testing, debugging, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, testing, release activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Independently manage technical tasks, handle ambiguity, and take accountability for end-to-end delivery.
- Support frontend development using React, Angular, or similar frameworks as a secondary skill.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python as the primary backend technology.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, object-oriented programming, application design, and clean coding practices.
- Experience in testing, debugging, error handling, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, including code reviews, testing, and releases.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver production-quality software.
Good to Have
- Full-stack development exposure with React, Angular, or equivalent modern UI frameworks.
- Experience in BFSI, banking, financial services, investment management, financial markets, or capital markets.
- Experience developing complex, mission-critical enterprise applications.
